Directions for Picture & Video Contributions
1. If you have only a few pictures, you may just send them in (after each event) by e-mail.
2. If you have many images, or want to contribute regularly, follow this procedure:
- Check your digital camera to see if your camera can take both full size and thumbnail sized images simultaneously. Many
cameras have an option to take both the full sized, high-res
pictures and simultaneously save a smaller, low-res, thumbnail copy
(sometimes known as an e-mail copy).
If your camera has this feature, then turn it on for the next event and
shoot away. Regular contributors can even be given their own
subdirectory on the server
and allowed to upload the images. Unfortunately, if you don't
have the thumbnail option, the large pictures become too cumbersome to
embed in the page, forcing the use of Photoshop on each image to
create a thumbnail (very time consuming, no one available to do this),
or the display of only a textual link on the page (not nearly as fun).
- Assuming you have step "a." all figured out,
send an e-mail to the address below and we will determine if you can
upload directly to the site.
- At the next event, take your pictures and
e-mail or upload them soon after the event. You may not
run-together multiple events.
- We will embed the pictures and links in the page for that event.
3. Many cameras have the option to take short video
clips in MPG format. These may be contributed by following steps
b & c above.
